I just had a genius take my old out of warrantee TS-231 fm 2 meter radio apart to change the back up battery which had gone bad and was affecting correct functioning of the radio also both dial lights had gone bad. This guy had to take that radio COMPLETELY apart with tiny parts

At least Charles was able to replace the battery and go on his merry way. In the old Icom IC751A. all-band, all-mode radio,if you let the battery go dead you became the proud owner of a doorstop. (I speak from experience) If you were smart enough to replace the battery before it died you
