The best bet would be monitor their QSOs as FO5A/mm and work them. The
will give their present position if asked. The are currently around 200
miles north of Clipperton.

I don't know how many of you caught the activity down around 14.165 at
1930z and there after.
FJ5KH was quite active at this time, easy to work and had a big
signal. The natives are active.

I would hesitate to leave the equipment on while I'm not using it or not in

Another reason would be just for safety. If the equipment should fail and

Your information is helpful. However, there are missing QSOs made by some
friends both here and across the pond.
Whether the Q's were with "pirates" (doubtful) or not, remains to be
seen. Time will tell.
Again...If in doubt, work them again.
73,
Jay/AF2C
Although the logs are up on the N8S site, they appear to be
incomplete. Some contacts do not seem to be posted at this time.
Nothing to get excited about...If in doubt, work them again. Some of the
operators will tell you that "You're in the log."

You forgot a few:
1. Walking to the shack from the kitchen.
2. Tuning your equipment.
3. Sending CW with a straight-key
4. Yelling your call when attempting to break a pile-up
3 and 4 can certainly get your cardio vascular system going! :-))

A number of years ago I went the route of having an rubber stamp made
with "PAR AVION AIRMAIL" on the stamp. I use a red
ink pad and use standard 3 5/8" x 6.5" envelopes.
In the long run...It's cheaper unless you need lightweight
envelopes.

Check 4Øm when a rare DX station is working the U.S.A. using a wide
