infrastructure, and it is up to the server to respect or ignore certain
client requests (such as timeout settings, amonst others). The man page
of the client cannot possibly know which server the user is using. Thus,

The new Unity lock screen doesn't have problem with application grabbing
the mouse (indicators, menus, etc.) but only if the mouse cursor is
outside of that menu. When you open menu of application (global or LIM)
or indicator then move the cursor outside of that menu and application
the screen
Also if you have open the right click context menu of any application
(for example terminal) the screen will not blank off and it will not
lock. In this case it doesn't lock even if the mouse cursor is outside
of the menu and application.

indicator-datetime updates its display at least once per minute, so the

When I saw this bug, I'm pretty sure I was running 12.10. I haven't seen
appear since though. I imagine it had to do with an upgrade bug, since
I've never seen it on a fresh install of any version.

virt-manager disables gtk-enable-mnemonics when a running VM window is
focused and re-enables it when the focus is lost. So clicking the global
menu steals the focus away, changing the gtk-enable-mnemonics setting,
which updates
