E-gold might want to consider rewriting the e-gold front end using java applets. The applets, a html page to invoke them and digital signatures could all be burnt onto a CD. To access e-gold, plug in the CD, double-click the html icon and off you go. The e-gold IP address, digital signatures,

I for one strongly oppose the use of java for this. It might help with security initially - until the crackers figured out how to duplicate it and started sending them to people. With something like that, it would be a matter of when, not if. With any online security based around the

For those that think digital sigs and gold could work together, I have a little project simmering at http://pktp.sourceforge.net (feedback welcome) java might not be for everyone, but there could be a time and place in some situations. A well known key avoids the need for (and is better than) a
