[Elecraft] EQP 2006 RULES; logging with N3FJP's "QRP ARCI Log 2.2" program

2006-03-03 Thread Thomas Martin
Hello, being no regular contester and even not using a PC log program for day to day QSOs (so far) I am a bit challenged by the new EQP rules. According to the information concerning similar contest rules I looked around a bit and found N3FJP's "QRP ARCI Log 2.2" (www.n3fjp.com) as a contest log

Harvey: The seeming peak at the bottom of the slug has a much lower signal-to-noise. Go back to the top. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find the peak at the top because the response is extremely flat. The best way to see the peak is by connecting the audio output (across the speaker)

[Elecraft] Adjusting L34 in the K2

2006-03-03 Thread Harvey Howell
Hi everyone. I just finished aligning my K2 with Spectrogram and part of it was aligning the I.F stage using L34. The manual says to set the slug 1 turn down from the top and adjust for the largest difference between the internal signal at 7 MHz and the noise around it. Well, I found that the be

The parent co. is now of the Loctite products group, who make thread locking compounds to paint on nuts and bolts. (Permatex whom I thought of makes the gasket compound, or 'goop'. Both products, Loctite and the gasket stuff are a kind of 'goop', thus the confusion. Multicore Solders, formerl

Don't know the Paddlette, but I love the Palm. I use them for /p work with the K2 and, once properly adjusted, they are super. You need to find a way to stabilize them. I have mine mounted on one end of a piece of plexiglass, say, 2" x 10", supported with six rubber feet, so I can rest m

Guess I have been lucky. For the past year or so I have been using a Daiwa 2 position coax switch between my K2 and TS-950SDX to the amp. While listening on the 950 through the coax switch I listen to the K2 on the low bands using my receive antennas. If I want to use the K2 to transmit I use the c
