Dave,
While full instructions are not available from Elecraft, it is a simple
matter to put the KPA100 and the KAT100 into an EC2 enclosure. The KAT100-2
has all the 'hooks' required to plug the KPA100 into the KAT100 board.
There are no mods required to mount the current KPA100 externally - the
There are also some pins quite visible but right next to plate-through
holes (vias) and if you don't look with a loupe you might think the coil
is soldered...not that I know from experience, hihi.

RC,
Re-do the power and SWR calibration, and then try it into a 50 ohm dummy
load. Tell us what you find.
I know that is not an answer to your total problem, but there has to be a
starting point, so verify that calibration first and we can go from there.

The displays do point out the necessity of not driving the K2 into ALC if
overshoot is to be avoided - for digital modes, that means to increase

Hello folks,
Have a new 2.3SLA battery I'm trying to charge for the K1. Here the problem I'm
having. The battery started out at about 9.6V and is now at 12.10V or so after
charging for several days on and off.
The VW panel reads about 20V in full sun. When connected to Don Brown's low

Anyone have one (an old install)?
