Why would I want to use a soundcard program if I've got a good demodulator
(RTTY, PSK) in the K3?
This is a good example of the cut-off between the K3's firmware and PC
software. If you are going to use a PC then the logical solution is

In a class for novice licensees I tried to demonstrate, what
intermodulation is and what the consequences are. We had two signal
generators operating on frequencies that were 5 khz apart and fed those
signals to various transceivers of different make. The signal strength

It has always struck me as a bit silly to go from analog to digital back
to analog only to return to digital, which is what you would be doing
with the K3 and a sound card based solution.

If you already have a computer connected for logging why wouldn't you just use
a soundcard program that will allow you to do this?

The manual and schematic will not be available until the radios are ready to

Don,
You were spot on. The SWR Bridge diodes D16 and D17 had failed. The
diodes arrived today in the mail, I replaced them and my K2 is up.
Thank you very much for your help.

Ed,
For the future, consider your antenna situation carefully. When the

Don,
I am going to be installing a simpler antenna switching system here.
Mine will be keyed off of the 12v power supply. When it is turned off, the
antennas on my two operating positions will be switched from rigs to ground.
The relays will be located outside in a weather proof box
