Yesterday and today we have had sunny weather. Not too warm so I still need
a fire and a jacket but it is nice to see the sun. The forecast states we may
get more of the same for the rest of the week. Now to attack my lawn before I

I have decided to run field day as a 5 watt battery station using my K3,
BL2 Balun, 44 ft doublet fed with 22 ft of window line, an old tandy DOS
computer for logging, a home brew white LED lamp and a 105 amp hour RV
battery. I measure K3 rec at 1.06A. K3 TX at 3.15A, LCD lamp at .10A,

You're right David, I'd like to listen on VFO B and transmit on VFO A. I
could do this on the K2. The reason I'd like to do it is because my antenna
tuning is based on the VFO A frequency. When you have big splits, you really
need the antenna tuned for the transmit frequency. It doesn't appear the

hunting for (or guessing) the DX' listen frequency, once you find
K3 ser # 1025, ordered 27 Dec arrived here in Texas

I noticed this same thing after upgrading my firmware to 1.88/1.70. I
have been waiting to see if it was just me, or if someone else is
experiencing it. It is not a big problem, but happens every time I power
down, and then back up. Turning the power knob slightly, and then back,
fixes it.

I've been working with Gary (Elecraft) on a 6M low transmit power
output problem. I have ben checking solder connections in the 6M BPF
area and taking voltage readings. I have had to power up and power
