I finished my K1 this evening! All seemed well until I went to install the ATU
(KAT1).
During initial test (p.9), I put the ATU mode into F1.3 and then exit out. I
press WPM- & WPM+ to tune and the display reads P2.3 instead of the r8.5 that's

Can someone at Elecraft comment on the shipment of the first P3's?? Are we
truly just under two weeks for the first ones, or has a setback occurred??

Question about adjusting the "volume" level (aka monitor level) of the SW
(switch) tone indicator. The monitor level seems to be associated with the CW
monitor level. That is, whatever level I set for my CW sidetone, that is what
is used for the SW Tone. So, is this true?

That trace cut was not to be done on a new K1 RF board. You will have
to remove the resistors and capacitor and repair the trace cut with a
jumper wire. Check page 7 - the "i in a triangle" informational item
near the bottom of the page - it says to skip the next 5 steps if your

It could be Gmail afterall. When my ISP changed to using gmail I
stopped receiving copies of my posts to any of the lists I subscribe
to. I called tech support and they said it was done by gmail and
they couldn't change it.
