Hello Johnny.
There is still no implementation of the temp vs. frequency data for the

Somewhere I thought I read that the KXBT3 Internal 8-AA Cell Battery Pack and

The KX3 will be able to contain the internal battery pack, roofing filter

Hi, Johnny.
I don't believe you can listen to both 20M and 6M at the same time this way.
The sub RX input is either connected the same antenna selected for the main
RX (ANT 1 or 2) or it listens on the Sub RX in connector. If the main RX is
listening on ANT 1, then your 6M antenna is -not-

I'm sorry, it appears I was mistaken about the antenna switching on the K3.
I have reviewed the antenna routing documentation for the sub receiver. I

Its all right. I need to read the K3 manual a couple of times to get the

Yes, Johnny. the idea is to have the same offset for both filters. That is
why many people get the 8-pole filters for main and sub RX. They have (near)

offset. (700 Hz) I do not know what is acceptable for a difference, as

That's true if you want to give up automatic power control (setting the

Without thinking at all about it, many people run with the preamp on all the
time. Since one has AGC, this has the effect of compressing the signal to
noise ratio. It IS really important to get used to setting ATT/PRE to move
the noise down to where it is only moderate. Just as true on a K2 as

There are two effects that can enhance signals at low audio levels, often

One effect is the response of human hearing. Hearing responds more the

poor antennas and is optimized for weight, size and battery life.
