Hi Tom
If you bought the connecting cable from Elecraft, it already contains both
the ALC and CW keying lines.

Well, I don't have as much as you do connected to the K3: two

Does anyone know if the new KX-3 will use the same style and size DC

From the Elecraft photos of the KX-3, the style appears to be the same as
the K1. I imagine that the 100 watt QRO amp option would use the

Bob,
The KX3s that I saw at Dayton had the 2.1mm coaxial power jack.
I would expect the amplifier to use APP connectors, but that is only a
guess on my part, I have no information about that.

Hi,
I just received my factory built KPA-500 amplifier. The fuses were not included
with the amp so I went to Radio Shack and picked up two 3 AG 6 amp fuses for
240 v operation.
With the fuses installed the fuse block door will not close. Is this normal?

Hello,
I have lost 80m receive on my K2 S/N:7012 intermittently again. For many days
it was working fine, I even added the 160m module during this period and it was
fine, yesterday morning when I turned on the rig, I had no 160,80,17 10m.
Cycling through the bands did not bring them back.
You should have received a fuse package for both 220 and 110v fuses.
The door should close.

Hi Jim
My recollection is that the fuses need to be very firmly seated otherwise
there is a problem as you indicate. I had a sismilar issue until I realised.

Hi Jim:
The fuse block is fully seated the way. See the bottom illustration on page
5 of your owner's manual. The contacts offer significant resistance as you
push the block in the last few millimeters and it's important you fully seat
it.
