The K3 can handle any mic or boommic. What you are gonna use is a choice
you'll have to make by yourself. The K3 will work fine with high-end
headsets AND with cheap computer headsets. It's more or less a matter of
taste.

Perhaps coincidentally, yesterday my P3 was also off by 30 Hz based on the
carrier frequency of BCB stations. It had been dead-on since I calibrated it
over a year ago. Haven't had time to explore further, but will recalibrate if
this persists.

When I properly tune a CW signal in and us the SPOT and CW indicator I
notice that it is not centered in the P3 display. If I center it then it is
off by about 30 Hz.
