Hi all,
Maybe someone with computer nous than me can answer this.
Just hooked up the KAT500 and went to configure with the utility.
However, the utility is only showing ports 3 and 6 as available. Port 3 is where I have the K3
plugged in and the only spare port I have, which is on the end of a
running WSPR on my kx3 at 3 watts and it is doing a great job! really nice!

Has button tones and CW monitor tones.
XG3 input shows correct AGC "S9" on all bands but no CW tone output.

P3 which has an SVGA. At a reset the P3 takes too long to gather itself
together and the Utility times out. N1AL said to turn the SVGA data

No sure what you mean by "all hooked up". Was that with a DB15 cable between
the K3 and KAT500?
If so, then you don't have that with the other radio, so the KAT500 is not
getting band data and won't make the antenna selection or switch in the
previously memorized tuning data until you transmit.
Just received my KAT500 and got it all hooked up. Works perfect with my K3
and KPA500. However, when I try to use it with other radios on the desk, I
have a problem. All works OK when the amp isn't inline. But, when using
another radio (other than the K3), and you put the amp in the operate

Then you're probably not tuning the single decoder (when "multi" is
off) to the correct frequency. It's been forever since I looked at
DigiPan but read the help file - it should tell you how to read the

I am trying to create a macro to do the following:
1. Set radio to Fine tuning mode (1 hz increments)
2. Turn on APF
Then with another push of a button
1. Turn off APF
2. Return radio to "regular tuning speed" (in my case 10 hz increments)

It's neither a true change nor a doc error.
The KAT500 BN uses the BN number convention from the K3 programmer's
reference.
See the K3 Programmer's Reference, BN command.
The BN command values (for both K3 and KAT500) differ from the numbers you'd
expect from the BAND0 to BAND3 lin
VA2FSQ has a beta solution that uses a video card to digitize the P3
video output and stream that over the internet. I haven't tried it, but
am skeptical about performance/latency.

It is my Microkeyer II that is inhibiting the keying during SSB.
Not true! I do it all the time.
Check the "CW in Voice" box on Router's PTT tab. That disables
PTT1/PTT2 during CW generation in voice modes. If the K3 sees a
PTT input in SSB mode it will not do CW in SSB.

I notice in the table for band commands, that it is shifted one from
standard K3 bito, bit1, bit2, bit3 values.
For example 160 M is a zero in the KAT500 command while it is a 1 for
standard band data.
Is this a true change or a doc error? I don't have a KAT500 to test it out.

Forget the third item - CW during SSB keying. It works on both inputs. It is my
Microkeyer II that is inhibiting the keying during SSB. Now to see if I can
