When I bought my used KX3 there was a Windcamp heat sink installed. I have not
much experience with high duty modes on full power because I can use the
KXPA100 when power is a critical factor. But I think this solution is
sufficcient, too. But it mostly is offered along with two side handles and
I have a KPA500 for sale in like new condition. $1900 shipped in CONUS. Zelle
for payment or pick up with cash. Photos available.

I answered this today and the response from the reflector came in blank.
This happens from time to time: I don't know why or how to fix it.
My answer was: I posed a question last week and got a response from Elecraft
support within a day.

I am putting both of my Elecraft complete K3 line stations up for sale.Each
station includes the following: K3 transceiver, KPA500 Amplifier, KAT500
Antenna Tuner, P3 Panadapter with monitor and Navigator interface.All as

I had an old LPA/PA combo that was replaced with an upgraded LPA/PA combo.
The new PA required a configuration setting that inserted 6dB of attenuation in
the amplifier chain to avoid instabilities.

Depends on the issue. In my case it was just some replacement K3S modules.
Here is my time line for a recent issue.
4/12 - K3S PA failure reported to Elecraft
4/14 - Email from Elecraft with testing procedures.
4/20 - RMA received and LPA/PA returned to Elecraft
6/13 - Refurbished new style LPA/PA
