I have searched the manual etc. and cant find a way of setting the band edges.
By which I mean the frequencies outside of which the transmitter will not
function. Here in Europe (as elsewhere I believe) different countries have
different band edges - this is particularly so for the 5MHz band.

Amazon). I have installed mine this am and it works a treat, it reduces the
number of USB ports required on the PC and gives fixed serial port numbers. So

I have noticed that the Span Step function (which I like) is not sticky - in
that every time I recycle my radio the feature, if set, is lost. That means I
have to go into the menu and reset it. Surely it would be better if the feature

Many moons ago I worked at a bank (software dept) and we had been running a
daily check reading program reading the magnetic line from a check and sorting
accordingly. Well this program read 600,000 checks a day - every working day of
the year (that's about 250) then after it had been running

Just got the Sub RX and I must say it looks tasty. However, I am puzzled by the
display on the P3 (another tasty toy I would not be without). I have read the
KE7X tour de force on the Elecraft kit and the P3 manual and the other Elecraft
manuals and unless I am going soggy in the brain
My recent previous rig was the FT897 so by comparison the K3 has trully
wonderful ergonomics. I accept that having multifunction controls is not ideal
but that has to be weighed against a front panel twice as big. I am happy with
the choices made by Elecraft - as they say one cannot
