You have it right.
In normal use the microHAM unit is in-between the PC and the K3 or if
there is a P3 it is PC - P3 - K3. BUT when having to do FW update to
the P3 or K3 or screen capture off the P3 the PC needs to be connected
directly to the P3 or K3.

reflector Roger White W5RDW in Murphy, Texas responded off-list. He had
the same problem I described. It was not coming from the K3 but from
inside the P3. We both noted it started after installing the SVGA.

Does the K3 have a means to set the volume for speakers independently of
the headphones?
New headphones - specifically Heil's new ProSet with the HC6 element and
the Elite have a lower audio output put. The K3 requires an AF Gain
adjustment each time I switch between them.

APF ringing and over powering...
I have had input from two Elecraft support fellows one of which was
helpful. That being move the receiver off frequency (RIT) about 10Hz
then adjust the APF center frequency to match. Some help - yes.
But...
The Elecraft implementation of APF in MCU 4.22 just
Is there away for the user to adjust the APF? It is over powering and
ringing.
