Guys, what is the best way to cable the K3/0 plus Remote Rig to a PC for sound
card digital ops?
Tnx. HNY,

Yes, I have been reading about that option. I am a bit of a coward in this
area, but I'll go there next. May I ask you for help, if I need it? What router
did you use internally?
I need at least one fixed "public ip" if that is what they call the external

Hi all:
I am performing the alignment step that involves peaking the voltage at TP5

Hi Guys: I live in New York City, but I grew up in Kalamazoo (KN8LOT and

me to Benton Harbor to purchase my Heathkits direct from the factory.

Hi all: There is a terrific article about Ken Schaffer, N2KS on page G1
(front page of "Circuits" section) of today's "New York Times". I don't
know him, but the article mentioned that he was a ham. I did the search and
found him. He is a successful inventor, located here on Manhattan's Upper

Hi guys: While assembling my KPA100, I unfortunately charged right by the

as to why it is specified to be mounted this way. I have reviewed prior

Hi Guys:
I am just finishing up my 2nd K2, and I am intrigued by the idea of using
dual K2s in split operations. I was wondering if others have tried this,
and how one might manage to use the same antenna for transmit and receive
while not feeding high RF from the transmit K2 into the receive K2.
A question on this subject... I had the same problem, after I installed the
100 watt amp and put everything back together. I solved it with new pads.
The only symptom was a failure to develop output power. It was awhile ago.
It may be that the thing refused to power-up at all, I just don't remem

I already own 2 Heil PRO-SET Plus headsets and an older PRO-SET. I don't

Hi Guys:
I had my K2 (S/N 2528) opened up to replace the thermal pads on Q7 and Q8.
This was in the aftermath of installing the KPA100 option. Everything

change out the pads as the old ones had gotten "threadbare". I am pre

Hi all:
I am assembling K-2 S/N 4397. I have just completed the Control Board. Two

resistance >1meg to ground. I have checked resistor network RP1. I

transistors MUST sit in direct contact with the heat sink or they will not
last very long, so do check carefully to be certain there is no gap below
the transistors.
Good luck and 73,

Hi all: I am just nearing completion of the 100W upgrade to my K2. I am
unable to get the 1/4" 4-40 pan head screws to reach far enough through the
board to "catch" the threads in the heat sink UNLESS I leave off the lock
washers. Without the lockwashers, everything seems to fit perfectly.
