The K3 controls the THP amp okay using a cable from ArraySolutions:
K3-ACCconnector-to-THP.
I want to add an MFJ autotuner because of reflected power from the 160- and 80M
antennas, and an antenna switch for convenience.
Will a KRC2 with V1.4 firmware be helpful?

I've been using (modified) FT-1000D's for long enough to become attached to
them, because they perform well, don't eat much, don't break much in my

Hi, all concerned:
I have an old Comdel in-mic-line r-f clipper, which uses fewer than 100
discrete parts on a 4X6in board.
What the device does is to heterodyne baseband audio to vlf, put it through
a USB filter, limit it, lowpass-filter it, and heterodyne it to baseband.

Hi, all concerned:
A thread a few months ago mentioned a solder station from

and I bought it and a companion desoldering station from CSI, despite the

It has taken me a while to get around
Hi, all concerned:
1. I've been trying to respond to an individual, Bill in 2-land, who has my

So, let it be known throughout the reflector:

My thanx to *all* who responded.

I used Ameritron QSK5's with TS-850's and NCL2000's at the kw level. No

Hi, all concerned:
I have tinnitus and some hearing loss at age 61, and have found the
PlaneQuiet NC-5 cans helpful in the shack and in the mfg shop where I'm a

freezers, amp blowers, computer blowers, and so on.

Hi, all concerned:
I get the operation of the hfo in general terms -- the PLL part, anyway.
I'm looking for (links to or) a fuller explanation of what happens in this

Hi, all concerned:
I have two K2/100's (34XX and 37XX) which have 40M c-w-mode power-out
variations at a rate of about once a second. For example, if I set 40W out,
they will alternate from 35 to 40W. It happens on a dummy load, into an
antenna, and makes driving an amp interesting ;o)

Hi, all concerned:
I've RTB -- both of them. It appears that using an external keyer to "key"
the amp and thru it key the K2 is one way.
Are there others? I work mostly 40M c-w, and some little ssb.
What are the pitfalls to avoid?
