yes the LED is ON in this state so will no doubt in time discharge
the battery. As it seems very convenient like this I decided to leave the
battery external. I have now purchesed another Na I find them to be
excellent and much better than the heavier limited Ah SLA batteries.

Interesting the comments about introducing noise into the K3 via USB, I'll
certainly look out for that.
If I find that it does I'll go back to the standard serial port which has
been absolutely fine.
Thanks again all.

or better still send me a pic of the K3USB so I know
what I'm looking for? I have vague recollections of a silver screened cable
with a clear outer sheath...?
Any help appreciated, thanks

until now, having reduced my K3 to bare bones due to an impending move of
shack, I'm listening to it's internal speaker.

it's called now, and as you can see I'm posting from Nabble, the only method
that seems to work for me.
Would someone informed please advise the best/easiest way to view and post
to Elecraft?
I'd rather be playing K3 radio than messing with this stuf
k me about five hours,
taking things carefully.
I was actually rather dreading messing with my "Working FB K3" to install
the sub Rx but so glad now it's done and appears to be working in a rather
spectacular fashion!
Bon courage

Hi Julian, well said! My views exactly as another in EU with an early K2. Good
to have it affirmed by you.
I too have been hoping and waiting for just this radio... it's a must have,
and my order is in too!

It looks fine, although I would move the two wider filters a bit to the
right.
There looks like about 6-8 db difference in attenuation between the widest
and
narrowest
conditions.
Nice to see the Bencher and the time taken to adjust it's position on the
desk before beginning to send!
Great stuff...
