R Gilley I gave used Mac for years and there are lots of folks that do.Go with Howard’s advice first, if you have not already done so. Odds are the settings in WSJT-X are not quite right. Check the Rig settings in WSJTX. You might have a check mark set incorrectly, something like DTR

Any insights on troubleshooting approaches for my KAT500 S/N 015XX which is not remembering the antenna configurations I enter. K4D - KPA500 - KAT500. KAT500 gets its power from the K4D auxiliary DC port. KAT500 is running latest firmware version 02.05. Mac Utility is version 1.21.10.9.

Russell, I have the same experience with my 7300 exactly, needing to shift to CW mode to match the KAT500. It’s at the point where it’s just what I do. Dick, I have the cable for connecting the 7300 to an external tuner, such as the AH-4, and I found that it did work fine for initiating
