I drew the wire for my first antenna about 40 years ago. That was for a quad
utilizing solid copper. Since then,I have made numerous dipoles, all using
stranded THHN or THWN 12g wire. My method has always been to anchor one end to
a tree or a bumper hitch and hold the free end with a pair of Vis
I upgraded the KXV3 to the A some time ago and in June, to the B model. What

difference in price between the PR6-10 and the KXV3B.I had been waffling on the
6m preamp for years and when I saw the new XV board, I jumped. No r

I have always used my K3 with paddles but today wanted to play with a straight
key and a sideswiper. For the life of me, I cannot find out how to turn the
keyer off in the manual. The closest I thought I had come was VOX/PTT and I
have also scanned through the config and menu to no avail. Perha

Regarding Begali's prices at Dayton, they are directly related to the exchange

As for exchange fees, Paypal does a good job of making you dig for the

The prosign works but it seems to be very sensitive to proper cw timing. I have
found a workaround to this is to slow down the keyer speed. It is finicky at
contest speeds but if I drop down to 20-23 wpm, I find it reads the prosign
much more consistently.

Greetings,
I have played just a bit with the rtty via cw function of the K3 and am curious
if my casual observations match those of others. It appears that the K3 onboard
decoder takes a back seat in rtty decode ability to a radio/computer/mtty
combination. Agree/disagree/thoughts?

I'm looking for recommendations for a float charger to keep my generator

Have a laugh with me because boy, do I feel stupid. I finally installed the

pressed the sub button, the audio cut out from my right headphone. I went back

You didn't mention whether the two radios were on the same band, different
bands, or odd harmonic bands like 40 and 15. Or, was it on any and all

Your second antenna does NOT need to be resonant to receive, either by itself
or with another in diversity mode. My receive antenna is seasonal so I have
employed antennas for other bands for receive when it is not up. While a non

Are you running the mic into the rear panel? If so, check your wiring. I ran
into this problem. You will need either jumper shield and ground or reverse the
two wires as the 1/8" mic jack is mono, not stereo.

It turns out that the rear panel jack is the culprit. I made an XLR to 8 pin
cable and a mini TRS to 8 pin cable and tested via the front panel. The mic
works just fine. The plan was to use the XLR to mini TRS and connect via the
back panel. The cable was tested through the front panel with th

I have a similar problem. 30m rtty when I use my 80m inverted vee will lock up

I seem to have a problem with either how I set up my K3 or with the filters.

Greetings,
Thanks to all who reponded. I decided to play it safe and borrowed a DMM. I
