Can anyone give me an idea of the time is takes for goods to reach the UK?
I'm away most of August and if Elecraft ship my K3 at end of July, it might
just sit in Royal mail for 5 days, before I can get it - they will then
return it to
for digital voice on the HF bands.
I think the same about analogue voice modes ;-)

Hi David,
Shipping times vary, but Elecraft give you a tracking number that is
useful. Usually less than a week in my experience to clear

I'd say it was pretty mandatory to build a K2. Nice as the K3 is (and
it _is_ nice!!) I don't think you can beat the sheer pleasure of
building and using a K2.

There are ways around that. Here are some ideas I read about,
surprises me. They use BNCs
on the rigs...why not continue that to the PA? Even a BNC is adequate
for the power levels involved and anyone with a K2 must be happy with
working with BNCs already

if I can't get hold of one then I use a 295 to N or BNC adaptor and a
properly terminated cable. Any (tiny) loss in the adaptor is more than
offset by the satisfaction of knowing the connector/cable termination
is right.

Further these crimp RF connectors appear to be qualified

That's what C connectors are for...

David et al,
It's a mystery to me too.
I received a K2 kit on Thursday which is now sitting on the bench, tuned to
7040.00 having passed all tests at Alignment stage II, has had the filters
aligned with noise gen/AF spectrum analyser and the MDS estimated with a XG1 on
1uV at -138dBm
I love the smell of solder in the morning.
Cheers from Shetland,
