samlex, astron ss30 and a rm30. The Quiet one is the rm 30. You might
try to tighten the bolts on the transformer. That helped mine, but no fan.

When I was in College at Kansas State, I had a random length long wire out
the window and up into some trees from the basement apartment. I used a
simple coil and cap with alligator clips to make a LCD tuner on a piece of
pine. What made it work was the copper pipe water inlet two feet from the

Operated RTTY NAQP this weekend. When changing bands, I noticed my power
would drop to 40 watts or so. After several transmissions, it would rise
to 100 watts. I don't think this is normal. All antennas are matched.

I am a first time "K1" builder and am having a very difficult time getting the
proper voltage measurements for the test on page 46 of the manual.
Test point J7 pin 8 should be 3.8vdc I get "0"
