Like most others on this list, I absolutely love my K2, and I also
have a second rig, kenwood ts-940sat.
The ts940 has been waiting for parts for over 3mos. and I was
considering replacing it.
I would like to know of other list members personal experiences
comparing the K2 receiver to either

used to worry that we'd all wind up sounding the same, what with the
near-perfect code you can send with a keyer, but there are still enough
little differences in fists even with keyers that you can recognize many
individuals after listening for a few seconds.

consistent operation. I'm doing the amp relay switching with the
keyer's PTT line, and I set a 20 ms lead to give the old relay time to
close before keying starts.

easily via a front-panel knob every so often during long operating
periods, like contests - adjusting the sidetone (and zero-beat point) up
or down a little from time to time seems to help minimize ear (or is it
brain?) fatigue.

Wal-Mart battery box, but because it's in the house I'm going to swap it out for
