fooling around. Does wire matter? is there a difference between tubes and soild
state? Can I hear 20K? does it matter if I can’t hear 20K? Why build a wide
band amp if you can hear it?

Tom, that are thousands and thousands of units out in the field. Nothing is
perfect but the Elecraft line is damn near. There will be units that go bad.
Electronics is never 100%. Never has never will. The real question is If a
unit does go bad what will happen?

The KX3 has really helped me learn the ins and outs of the K3.
The K3, I was able to run it and make contacts but it is such a large body of

My k3 sits next to an iPad, Macbook pro and a Mac mini on a work bench. Zero
noise.
iPad decodes RTTY and PSK... Works good too.

Seems to me most computers today are USB as a standard...
I've put up with that stupid RS232 (standard???) for many more years than I
care to think.
