I have two K3S connected to two Acom 200A. I am using the USB interface to
the computer and running Writelog and Wintest. The P3's are connected via
the special Y cable on the RS232 interface.
Has anyone successfully managed to control the Acom 2000A with the K3S?

Hi,
Is there an option somewhere to enable the KX3 to have different power levels
per band? This would be very useful if you are driving a big amp via the
KXPA100.
Is this planned for a future firmware update?

It appears to show a drive level of 5 watts to achieve 75 watt output.
If I transmit into a dummy load, with the power setting at 100 watts,
I have a drive power of about 2.6 watts and an output power of about 70
watts as shown in the KXPA Utility.
Am I missing something?

Will add my name to list about no NB on SVGA. I didn't know that was supposed
to be working
on the SVGA, and the per band settings of the noise blanker are not updated
on the SVGA display as you change bands.
I guess there should be another iteration?

I have tried the various configurations shown in the Acom 2000A manual to
connect the CAT input on the Acom to the RS232 Connector on the K3. Using a
Y cable and their pinout takes down the RS232 between the radio and
computer. Anyone been successful at this?

CW would be another mode that would not need a linear amp I think.
No, CW requires a linear amplifier. CW is not constant-amplitude - the
amplitude changes every time you

Ed, Yes, I am interested in following your linear amplifier project.

The one exception might be FSK. It is constant-amplitude so a class C
amplifier should be fine.
FSK modes include RTTY
Not if you build your own is my understanding!

Hi Ed.
I am more interested in a non-linear class C or higher amp for those
bands as was not thinking to run modes that need a linear amp. WSPR, a
WSJT mode, WSQ, and the like.
