160mm 4 squares, 80 meter 4 squares located on the East Coast and the West

I lived in Africa a long time ago in a game park so I had the opportunity
to run a 700 foot long wire and later two long wires in a V beam.
The gain was better than a yagi, the wires had lobes off them. I noticed
that I didn't suffer from much fading.
If you have space for a long wire or a v beam

The KPA1500 is causing me to sell my Alphas 87a and 9500.
Technology keeps rocking along. Prices of the old stuff keep dropping.

There was not 5 band dxcc. 5 Band just contributed to more qrm on more

Out the back of my K3 the 15 pin and 9 pin go to the Expert, the 9 pin
Serial is split and goes to the P3.

As mentioned here a few days/weeks ago Collins is no longer making their
crystal filters.
So it seems to me there will be a time that the roofing filter idea will be
another digital filter on top of the lower digital filter.

I installed two TX MON boards in my two P3's.
I upgraded both K3s and both P3s.
In neither P3 to I get a TX MON in the menu.
I installed both P3's TX MON boards on a grounded mat and I was also
grounded.
So I am at a loss why there is no TX MON appearing in my P3 Menu.
Any help will be apprecia

have the gear to measure it or an engineering degree.
The Collins KWM2A was modified continuously over it's 25 year or more build

like to make firm those connections between my 15 connectors and the double
Y connectors. I am thinking there must be a name for those double nuts that
could screw between connectors and also a source for a little bag
I must be missing something.
Is there a proper setting in CONFIG regarding PTT-Key that I should set?

The greatest freedom comes from simply pushing the tune button. If you push
it and the tuner tunes that frequency with your antenna then that's all you
need to know. If you are in a hurry the band info is good enough.

I like the idea of a 1.8 filter for tight sub

I have always loved 500 watt amps. My first was a Collins 30L-1.
Still have it.
Bought the first 12 volt solid state amp from Trans World Communications.

Seems to me a simple switch on your headphone plug to bypass the disconnect
of the headphone plug sitting in the female jack would allow you to turn on
or off the speakers without going to MENU CONFIG etc.
It is the way I like to do it as I dislike having to change config settings
over little stuf
I can't speak to AGC version 4.51 but as an op of 50 plus years I find in
difficult situations that I like better turning the AGC off and YES there
is an OFF button and then riding the RF gain. This I learned before we had
radios we could tweak and it still works today with software derived
systems
I ordered my KX3 on day 1. However I was late as the email went out at
night and I woke up, saw it and ordered it.
Mine came last week. So the learning curve new product difficulties getting
out the zillion day 1 orders was time consuming.

I purchased the handheld mike from Elecraft. Works fine.
Purchased the Heil headset from Elecraft and when I plug that in the radio
goes to TRANSMIT and there is NO AUDIO.
Plugged an old 8 pin ICOM mike into the front. Same. Radio goes to Transmit,
no Audio.
Elecraft hand mike works fine.
