Last night WH2XRR was on 2200 meters WSPR, I copied him all night with my K3
modified for LF receive. This was my first ever receive on the LF 2200 meter
Ham band. K3 did a great job. I am using the K3, Signalink, and double size
G5RV, with both sides tied together into the K3 receive antenna

Received my KBPF3 mod kit for LF today. Caps are very small. This might be my
first SMD, at least this tiny, work. With as big a magnify glass that I can
find I can see the caps and after some effort get them on top of the existing
caps but I can not get them to stay there. I have tried every

One other question, please. Will it be possible to just send in the KBPF3
from my K3 to be modified by Elecraft? not the whole K3?
I think I can handle installing the one cap on the RF board but never done
surface mounts.

I tried bending the pins, loosening the side and back panels, pins were just
too long. With the KXV3B lined up and in position, and with the pins behind
the header, the pins touched the main board.

I have been doing some testing using WSJT-X, and other digital modes, with my
K3 an my Signalink USB.
Receive works pretty good with decodes on WSJT-X at –19 to an occasional decode
at –24.
On transmit using various digital software and modes, when I transmit at 5
watts the KAT500 has problems.
Does the USB keyboard port on the PX3 work?

Trying to store an odd repeater split in KX3 for use in the 2 mtr module.
The input ends in .025 and the K3 freq memory editor will only allow a split
ending in .020 and you can not store split.

looking for help for transmitting below 5 Mhz and getting very high SWR.
I also connected a dummy load directly to the KX3, same problem.
Using the tune button and by-passing the ATU get SWR readings of 99.9 with
