Toxins are a good point raised, and I on more than one occasion have felt the
effects of lead poisoning as you've described. I do not have ventilator hood
either, but now try to work with the window open and have small desktop fan
which attempts to blow most of the fumes and smoke out of that
NB works well... It's the NR that could use improvement.

Not a direct answer to your question, but if you download K3EZ, it becomes very
easy to tweak both RX and TX EQ settings. You can then test in real time using
the monitor or DVR. I think it's better doing it this way as you can tailor
settings to your voice rather than basing it off
You can listen to the subrx in both ears. There is an audio mixing function
that allows you to pipe sub output to both channels.
