It escapes me why people won't ship overseas. One customs form, and you are
done. All the work is on the receiving end.
I have sold equipment overseas for 100-300 more than the last US offer.

Wes Haywards has a preamp using BF998 MOSFETs
http://www.w7zoi.net/lna50.pdf. The PDF is a 50MHz preamp and instructions
to build one ugly style.
The MOSFET's will cost you $1.25 for about 20-30 of them.
Just another option for a 6M preamp

Will RG-174 handle 100W at HF/6M?
I am building a tuning bridge for my Nye Viking tuner, and will be
installing a relay to switch it in and out of circuit.
My K3 will transmit and receive through the NC contacts of the relay.

I have no audio on the speaker or external speaker. The headphones work just
fine. I replaced the headphone jack, but still no audio.
Any ideas?

70-90W requested. The K2 and the amp are about a foot apart, but the
cover is off the amp, since I was doing some input circuit adjustments.
Maybe I am getting RF back in to the K2?

What I am in the process of doing is putting together the Softrock receiver,
and lashing it up to a micro ITX formfactor
PC. They are very small, and have the ability to use a 12V DC power input.
Do a search on car computers, and there is a ton of stuff there.

I haven't seen too much info here on the calibration done on the Bird
meters.
Just because it says Bird, does not make it accurate. Like any other test
equipment,
It must be calibrated periodically. Have all the meters referenced been
calibrated by a
Known standard? If not, results are suspect...
How do the softrock receivers work with the K2 IF?
The IF is above the ham bands, so how does this work?
I have a K2, and a TS-180 with a 8892kHz IF output, and would like to
explore the panadapter/bandscope idea. I also have a K3 on order as well.

I just ordered a K3/10 and a 1kHz 8 pole filter. I do both SSB and CW, more
CW than SSB, and would like to experiment with digital modes, etc.
Did I make a good choice, or what?

I agree. Most of the reviews are from SSB operators, and the complaints on
filters are probably because they are not adjusted correctly. The problems
listed are alignment issues. I use my K2 with a Heil HM-5, and get great
audio reports with the standard SSB bandwidth.

The thing people forget is that YaeComWood, TenTec, etc have much deeper
pockets and more resources. Borrowing a few million for them is no big deal,
but a substantial risk for a company of Elecraft's size. If a product does
not do well, there is less impact on the bottom line. The other companies
How are K2's as mobile rigs? I am considering putting one in a car with a
