What program are you trying to talk to the W2 with? Can you use the terminal in the K3 Utility to send commands to it? The idea being to establish whether there is a problem with the particular software you are using and VSPE. Does it work if you connect to the real serial port without VSPE and

yes dan you could use the same program I do to do that. I have not tried to run the K3 utility through it but I have run K3_EZ with my logging program and it works well. I think I will need to run the W2 with a seperate cable to a different port on my computer to run it too. Dan in Florida
