Hello
After some years I wanted to connect DX Doubler again and have some problems
because I cannot transmit SSB or CW
I have both radios (K3) connected to two USB ports to CAT control (RS232),
is working fine
I have PIEXX for DXD connected to other USB
DXD seems to work fine,
I have for sale a DX Doubler with three cables, one K-3 homebrew, one K-3
modified from ICOM, and one ICOM. $135 including shipping by priority mail.

There are two common causes of this problem. One is the
potential difference between the two radios. Bonding and

the same outlet will fix that.

You mention bonding in vehicles and this rang a large bell with me: all
military vehicles, land sea and air, require a separate dc return other than
the chassis for the battery negative terminal. Filter caps for emc are
returned to the chassis of the equipment which is strongly bonded to

Just completed my second K3/100 and am in the process of integrating them
into the former FT-1000 SO2R station. I'm using the DX Doubler for SO2R
switching. I bought the K3 cables from them, and hooked up both radios to
DXD. When I plug the headset into the DXD phone socket, I hear a hummy

Would bonding the two chassis together with thick wire or braid work?

I'm looking at buying a DX Doubler and am wondering if the Kenwood cables
will work on a K2. The web site doesn't mention K2s.
Any help will be appreciated.

You
Randy, by coincidence I have just ordered one which I hope to collect
doing my trip to Texas next week for the FOC Social Weekend. I asked for
one cable for my FT1kMP and one generic cable so that I can put my own
plugs on.
I have a back to back trip to IS0 also so won't be able to try it out
