Ken, The mistake I made on my KSB2 adaptor acted/sounds like what you are getting. Have you tried to transmit? Is there audio/RF out? Check the switching diodes found at either end of the Xtal filter section. Is the right end up? Are they installed in the right direction. I got one backwards and go

Ken, That is a sign that something is amiss with the filter on the SSB board. Check all the diodes and the toroid transformers. Be certain the tiny RFCs do not have any bare wire that is shorting to the crystal cases (slip a piece of paper between the RFC and the xtal case to check). On the RF B

Hi Everyone, I've just fitted the KSB2 adaptor to my K2 (#5294), and seem to be experiencing some oddness. When I select OP1 as the filter, the signal seems to be greatley attenutated (no signal strength on the S meter), and you need to have the AF control at near maximum to hear any out
