I think that Wayne has mentioned the differences in an earlier post. The first
four NR settings F1-x to F4-x are for CW ONLY, F5-x and higher are for SSB. The
different NR settings are not called out as well as they might have been in the
manual. I, too first tried F1-1 through F4-7 for SSB

will serve most operators well, I liked the AGC response of my K2 which
made strong signals have stronger audio than weaker signals.

admirably for me. I could not duplicate the problem here.
