I tried this with a KX3, serial # 050, & a KX2 using a OCF & 2 element HyGain
beam also dummy load & did not experience fault on 15 meters. Output was 100
watts on each antenna & dummy load. No antenna tuner was used as antennas are
resonant. Serial # of KXPA100 is 1296.

Tonight I was using my KX3 and KXPA 100. I thought I would try 15 meters
and received a Hi Dissipation fault.on the amp. All the other bands are
working fine. I have a 1.3 SWR on 15 meters and according to the fault list
on the KXPA utility it is showing 297 watts being dissipated.. I reloaded

You'll need to answer the "for how long" question to get a good answer.
I sometimes use my KXPA100 and KX2 for POTA operations. My 30Ah Bioenno
LiFePO4 battery easily powers the combo doing CW or Phone for several
hours of operation at a moderately high TX/RX duty cycle.

I have a like new factory built KXPA 100 with the internal ATU and control
cable for sale. This was used very little and I have decided that my
portable operations will be strictly QRP. $1200. shipped within the USA.

I have a four month old KXPA100 for sale, thought I needed a second one for my
KX2, already had one for the KX3. I'm a bit of an impulse buyer. Amp in
excellent condition, non smoker !
Comes in original shipping box, very well protected, comes with cables needed
to hook up to your KX3 or KX2.
I have tried the second quick tap. It worked with the old ant/coax but
offers no improvement now. Breaking out the VNA tomorrow.
Thank you to all who helped.

Bob,
According to my KXPA100 manual (A2-2013) - "... tap *tune* again within 5
seconds. The ATU will do a second tune using smaller steps in inductance
and capacitance values."
All my Electraft ATUs have a similar feature. Downside - It does take much
longer to achieve the match.

Bob: the KXPA100 Utility operate page should have check boxes for manual
selection of L and C. There is also an edit box with up and down arrows to
change L and C one step at a time. See if you can wiggle those to a place that
better suits you. There is a save button once you’ve reached Nirvana
I recently replaced/ upgraded the coax and balun on my Off center dipole and
no longer have to ability to get a 1:1 match using the tuner. I know it is
OCD (no pun intended) but I have always been able to get 1:1 with the
tuner.

Sorry, my error. You CAN use ALC to control drive power, but it should
not be used for that purpose. If you set the transceiver to 100W and let
ALC reduce it during normal operation, you generate trash in your
transmitted signal.

George,
The normal K2/10 does not have a KEYOUT jack - and that is the only problem.
There are 2 solutions - 1) If you have the K60XV option installed, all
you need is a jack (and a hole to mount it) and a bit of wire. K60XV J2
pin 2 will produce a KEYOUT signal.
2) If you do not have the K60XV
