Is this a K3 that has been upgraded with the KIO3B option? Or is it a K3S?
If so did you plug anything into the LINE IN jack on the back - either
intentionally or by mistake? That will open the path for the internal
soundcard output.

Ok, got it working. I have two KSNY3 boards on main and SUB receivers. The
led was on for the SUB but the LED on the main was off. I switched the
boards and it started working. Must have been a loose connection on one of
the cables???

One correction to Ron's posting: The Sub Rx's KSYN3a (if you have the
sub-receiver installed) may have a blinking green status light until the sub is
actually turned on for the first time from the K3 front panel.

What is the serial number of your transceiver and do you have a callsign?
Also, what revision of the manual do you have? With that information there are
lots of people on here able to help you.

I also tried ant 2 since it has the ATU but I have the same problem on both
ant connectors.
No power out and no RX just noise.

Which Elecraft transceiver? Kit or factory built? Was it working
before or has it never worked properly?

Ok so we're out at field day and all of the sudden I heard a somewhat
strong signal and then all the receive has gone to low S Meter numbers
yet the radio is not deaf at all.
Whats worse is that I am getting no RF out. Pressing tune the radio

My bad! Eric is totally correct about having the B vfo set

cycling the power is sort of related (I guess?). Several
times this has happened:
The "TX" icon at the right side of the display starts cycling

For the past couple of years my K2/100 been was working fine, and it still
works with PSK31, but I noticed a few days ago that when I connect the mic I
get no measurable power out on SSB. I'm not sure what has caused my K2 (ser.
03082) to stop putting out any power when used with the mic (MH2).
Cathy,
Definitions first - RF IN and RF OUT are designation of the RF Bandpass
filter only - on transmmit the signal goes in as RF IN and comes out as RF
OUT - however, on receive the path through the RF Bandpass is reversed, so
'in' is 'out' and and 'out' is 'in' .
Since you have a scope, I sugg

I've nearly completed my K1, and the receiver has been calibrated and
works extremely well. While calibrating the receiver against my K2, I
had a 3 foot antenna consisting of daisy-chained alligator clips
attached to the antenna jack, and I was picking up not only the adjacent
K2, but also RTT
