Hi Stan,
You can do it. I'm probably older than you (72) -- it just takes patience
and some fiddling.
The first thing to do is to plug in those patch cords. In fact, let's start
with just one. Plug it into the Lin Out on the back of the K3, and the Mic
jack on your computer.
Then bring up WSPR.

I have it up and running.
I am amaized on how far your signal can be heard with only 1 watt WOW.
Now I have to work on that JP65 mode.

It sounds like you have it receiving. In case you don't: No interface is
necessary, and things are

To run WSJT on K3 with SignaLinkUSB:
(The soundcard settings that FLDIGI takes care of automatically, when
set up, must be done MANUALLY in WSJT. Otherwise, the setup is the same.)
1.K3 in “TX DATA”
2.K3 at 50.260 (for six meter operation)
3.K3 with “CONFIG”

Would someone who is using the WSPR software share how they have the
setup configured for the K3.
I can not get it to go to TX. I have something wrong with either the
CAT or PTT settings.
For some reason I can not get it to work right. I tried to copy
setting from HRD but no dice wit
