Unfortunately I can't be there, but if on the way to get a brew you stop by a
post office or other federal building you may be able to see my picture
hanging up - but I didn't do all of the things they say, and even some of
those that I did do were more of a misunderstanding kind of thing. :)
Neven,
Boston is the home of Sam Adams beer. Check the web site

Hm...Neven, if you like, we can have a digital camera at Booth 209 at
the Symposium - anyone who would like their face captured for posterity can
drop in for a mug shot :)) Maybe our upcoming new website can have a link
to these, if desired by the capturees...

I would strongly advise you against this translator - I tried and the

I will try to do it for you later from home, where I have a Russian keyboard,

Ian,
IEC 60825-1 Edition 1.2 is likely the current standard regarding safety and
classification of both
laser and LED products. LED's were introduced several years ago with much
debate within TC76,
and the two light sources are now used interchangeably within this standard.

Hello Ian,
You have nothing to worry about in the United States. LEDs are not
considered laser devices in the USA. However, depending on who the
manufacturer of the LEDs is, I would verify with them what information they
have available on standards compliance with their LEDs.

There may be something in the fact that 61000-6-4 is an IEC generated
document and the 50081-2 is a CENELEC generated document that never had an

Hello all,
In a similar vein, users of the 301 489 family should be aware that the
DOCOPOCOSS of 301 489-1 v1.2.1 passed on 30th June. v1.2.1 has RF immunity
requirements to 1GHz only; subsequent versions have an extended requirement
up to 2GHz.
