I'd like to thank all who chimed in with their thoughts. And yes, I am well aware of how standards get put together and appreciate the hard work of those who give them life. In no way I wanted to criticize their work, I was just seeking confirmation that I'm not (that) crazy. I particularly

I¹m working for a customer. The customer bought the GTEM cell used. I¹m sure the manufacturer would be willing to sell the software at a price, but right now my goal is to figure out if he needs a low noise preamplifier to augment his spectrum analyzer, and if so, what noise figure and gain. For

Well, I already know the basics of antennas and propagation and OATS measurements, but what I don¹t know is how the vertically polarized electric field from a small source couples a potential to the septum relative to the GTEM enclosure, and how all that relates to a prediction of a radiated field

Hi Ken, TX and RX equations are reciprocal. The measurements themselves are referenced to different locations, however we can address this. While the conversion between antenna gain and antenna factor does involve wavelength this will also be consistent between TX and RX after taking distance

Paul, With the new way of notifying the world of changes I have no idea if the list will be updated. In reading the document it sounds to me like you can use EN 55035:2017 as of the 5th. As to a DoW for EN 55024, your guess is as good as mine at this time. I'll forward your email to a

Hello, With regards to the standards listed in Annex I of this implementing decision (for me, EN55035 specifically); do we expect the harmonized standards list for the EMCD to be updated shortly to include these standards? Should I expect to see a DOW for EN55024?

I understand how the GTEM cell works for immunity. That is quite simple, as you say. It¹s not as simple for emissions. I think an analogy is the equation for transmitting from an antenna is not reciprocal with receiving. One is simply a function of gain, the other involves frequency/wavelength. I
