Gentlemen,
I have connected a wireless USB game pad to the dahlih. It worked -
but I didn't see much of a use for it on a small three axis mill.
All the buttons and levers were recognized and worked
I was able to manipulate the machine from more than 100 feet away.

It is a Saitek P2

Unless one can find a (gameport) gamepad on ebay (there are some) all
new ones are USB and today about half are wireless.
Not being an expert of EMC or Linux I'm not sure if the wireless ones
would work or not.sure would be nice though not to be connected by a
cord. One problem would be the

Hi, I have a bridgeport conversion that I did with both quill and knee drive.
I am using the trivkins module naming the axes X,Y,Z,A
I cannot change 'A' to 'W' without the program not misbehaving (will not load)
'W' is included in trivkins... why can't I call it 'W'?
Thanks,

Hello,
Can anyone suggest me a dealer or company that produces such
2-axis-rotary-tools that the axes hang on the Z axis so that the milling
tool would rotate in two directions. I need to use this method as rotary
tables can not be used due to lack of space.

Thanks all, I had missed that thread on 'the Zone' - I
don;t get time to trawl through it very often. I'm excited
by Marriss's latest offer on that thread though and hope
there is some way I can tap into it. I think I'll also have
a play with Emory's ideas and see if I can fry a few 3055's
has this come up?

Len,
The only thing I can think of is I did the example with 6.06... don't know if
that makes a
difference... If I get a chance I'll try it out on one of my 8.04 machines...

You should be able to substitute bigger output transistors and emitter/source
resistors for the originals. You might have to go to a lower resistance for the
resistors to "trick" the drive into not going into protection. Halving
their resistance
would allow 5 Amps from a circuit designed to limit a

It looks like the wiki page is in error. The correct loadusr line is

In the other order, halcmd wouldn't wait for hal_input to finish
starting up, so a subsequent 'net' command might happen before the
hal_input pins are created; the same would go for a 'show pin'
John,
EMC did work, but the "input" module was not loading and neither the input
section nor its pins appeared in the list under hal configuration.
As I recall, /var/log/messages reported *could not find "Dual"* or whichever
of the other names and ids I tried to use.
I will be at the shop later
