Hi All,
About a year ago I got involved with designing a servo amplifier current
limiting add-on feature to an open source ciruit that was started by Samco
(skunkworks?) on the cnczone. Here is a link to one of my posts

What do you mean? If it's a stepper system you should be able to set
it up with stepconf. If you get stuck and have specific questions,
ask those questions and pe

You can set it with G10 L1 P1 R0.24
R specifies tool radius (G10 is modeled after Fanuc)
You can also set orienta

Gentlemen,
I offer my shop, MPM Inc, as a host for the EMC Fest. We don't have
room to host the entire workshop but would be honored to host the EMC
crew (and others interested in EMC). We have machines running EMC. We
have project machines. We have a small area to set up displays if
needed.

I went to lunch the other day with Dale Grover and Bob Stack, both of
the A2 MechShop in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dale asked me about this year's
CNC Workshop which he usually attends, and I told him of the situation
with Roland and Cardinal Engineering. I had also remarked that Ann Arbor
has a very ac
Please keep in mind hat in a production environment you might never touch
off a tool. An optical tool setter is often used to measure the tool length
to gage line while the machine is running another job. When you set up the
next job, all the tool lengths are entered in at once.

Gee, you didn't have to look that far... it is in your manual.

Hi Donnie,
the error was somewhere at the end of the file you pasted:
/usr/bin/emc: line 376: emc.nml: No such file or directory
It seems your config folder doesn't contain emc.nml (maybe deleted by
accident?),
you can easily copy an emc.nml from one of the sample configs (for 2.2.x

we are now fitting EMC onto our Leadwell CNC milling machine, see
CNCzone forum for some info.
we too feel the tool table could do with some better intergration for
easy of use for show floor workers and as you have found changes are

maybe it could be added to a new tab, ab
That's the fact, my associate has already bought the frequency
converters and no we on the task of how to connect the freq. conv. to

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

It seems that EMC doesn't close properly.
Go to config directory and change file name *.var.bak to *.var
for example: machine.var.bak => machine.var
and try run it again
