"hm2-servo" is one of the sample configs shipped with emc2. If you
installed one of the 2.3 debs it's in /usr/share/doc/emc2/examples, if
you checked out the CVS it's in configs/.

After seeing micges HM2 stepgen problems on IRC I took another look at the
firmware, and there is yet another bug in the HM2 stepgen firmware :-(
The bug will show up as occasional DIR setup time violations (a single step
generated right at the DIR output line change time) when the step rate is
Encoder and time resolution is not a problem. I can feed servos by using
PICs @20Mhz which can be connected by serial or parallel port.
Only problem is; emc2 is using cartesian coordinate systems. I will try
to use a cylindrical one. Maybe a simple procedural addition to the
software solves my p
I know my rotary is tiny by comparison with most of your
machines but FWIW, I cut my own brass wormwheel using a tap
running in the lathe. It took a couple of attempts before I
got the right number of teeth for what I wanted but, for
cnc, the exact ratio of the worm and wheel is probably not
