Okay guys, as of today my brand new motors and drives are ordered and on
their way to me. I am pretty excited about this as I will be basically
working with all brand new components on my VMC here and I get to choose
how they are wired and run. YEAY

Thanks for the info...can you explain that last part 7i77 GPIO? I have
just started looking at this stuff and I am not entirely clear on the mesa
side of things just yet. As far as I know I should not need any delay in
the power supply setup and it sounds like that last bit in your post should

Hey guys,
I have been hurriedly trying to find the cash for my new components
for this retrofit. Some of you may recall that I am essential gutting this
control and starting over with all new parts and a PC running linuxcnc.
Well as of this week I am finally in a position to order the brand ne

I have looked at those chinese motors on alibaba and elsewhere and you
gotta be careful about not only the shipping costs which are not generally
actual but also some of them are not setup to work with US style power
input. There are some that are quite interesting tho and it is unfortunate
there
Also forgot to mention that I have received relatively glowing reports
about the record motors and drives from several different people who have
done multiple retrofits. They seem to be a very good value.. peace

retrofitting my Cincinatti Arrow 500 VMC to linuxCNC and the 130mm
industrial AC servos and drives from DMM are one of the options I am
considering right now. They sure look good from the specs and I have heard

First off Happy Thanksgiving to all of my EMC/linuxCNC friends. I am
kinda new around here with EMC and I recently bought a used Cincinatti
Arrow 500 VMC for my shop. Initially the hope was to be able to fix the
original control and get it running. UNFORTUNATELY after several thousand
