Hi everybody
My maho has a rotary table as B (tool horizontal) or C (tool vertical) axis.
The Number of full revolutions is not limited and I'd like to do thread milling
as well as positioning.
I found http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?WrappedRotaryAxes

Hi Jon
I wonder if the emc realtime compartibility layer can be adapted to native linux
realtime using rt_preemt. Maybe this is a solution for future support of non x86

Is there a document describing emc's minimal environment (besides sources)?

Hi Caner
I just bougt an IEI DM 121 GXS R20 wich is an 12.1" XGA Monitor with resistive

Connectors: Voltage Supply, VGA, DVI, Serial, USB
Touchscreen is connected serial or USB type penmount .

Hi Andrey
There has to be a reasen why the motor overheats. It's either mechanically or
electrically.
If you can eliminate electrical sources (amp matches motor, weired accelerations
or vibrations) then there should be mechanical ones.
Did you disassemble the broken motor to find out why it overh

Hi everybody
I just tossed a first version of the documentation on
HOW TO USE BECKHOFF EtherCAT with EMC2
into the linuxcnc wiki.

The most interesting thing for this is that with emc you can mix the old analog

Hi Rick
Do you have a tachogenerator or an resolver?
a tachogenerator is like a dynamo giving a sinus voltage/current wich is
proportional to the revolutions. You can use a rectifier circuit and measuere
the effective voltage via a/d
A resolver is tricky, you need to excite it with a sinus signa
