just a quickie...I know the EOS 3 has 45 point AF but just how many ECF
points does it have? Which has a better (this is subjective!) ECF system
for sports like soccer, the elan II, the EOS 3, or maybe the elan 7e? And
why is one better than another? I have the elan IIe which I used last Fall

The II has the same optical design. The exterior was tweaked a little, like
the wider zoom ring. See:

Optically they're identical. The II version of the
lens has more aperture blades than the original 'I'
version, which makes for rounder, more pleasant out o

Hi Bob,
Did you notice the complaint
Could someone who has used EF prime wide angles as well as the 20-
35L, 17-35L, or EF 20-35 give me a comparison of their flare
characteristics? I currently use the EF 24/2.8 and 35/2.0 and shoot
them directly into the sun, often with grad ND filters. Even stopped
down, of course, there is so

Is there really an upgrade to the EF28-105 II or is the original EF28-105
just as good?

At a news conference this afternoon, the manager of Dale Earnhardt, Inc.
asked if any photographers had a photograph of the cars of DEI, Inc and the
#3 car of Dale Earnhardt crossing the start/finish line in order. This
occurred approximately 30 laps from the end of the race.

I have the original 200/2.8L, and find that the hood is too small.
Even worse, it doesn't provide any protection against falls. This
makes me want to put a UV
All lenses have some shortcomings. While I am not thrilled with the
push/pull design of the 100-400 L IS zoom, if you adjust the friction ring
to the right setting it is easy to control and hold in place any focal
length setting. This does take a bit more time to get used to than turning
a ring.

Hi,
Thanks to all who responded. I really think I will order one from either
B&H or Adorama.
Will I lose anything (except a different warranty) by purchasing Grey? I
would also order either the 20mm f/2.8 or the 20-35 f/3.5-4.5 (still can't
decide...) at the same time, so combined saving by o

Same here, I find the push-pull does not help me in anyway for that last bit
of fine tuning the composition, especially for the fast action airshow and
car racing sh
Hi
What is your experience and opinion, if single focal length
lenses are double or half the previous lens length in 35 - 200mm
range is it too big jumps (e.g. 50, 100, 200)? Or do you
prefer shorter jumps, e.g. 35, (50), 85, 135, (200).
Does anyone have experience with EF135/2L + 2x extender
