I use an EW-65 II on mine, it's meant to be used with the 28mm or 35mm so
it might be a bit short but I figure it's better then no hood.

because of changes in the design of the flash shoe electronics. Is this
so? If it is how does that affect the use of older Canon EOS Speedlites

and EF 50 mm f1.8 Mk I. My first prime lenses by the way. Both are in excellent
condition and virtually look like never used in all surfaces and outfit. The price was
