The image will look tighter/closer (as if you are using an 80mm rather than
a 50mm lens) through your viewfinder.

What's your opinion of the Canon 24-85mm Ultrasonic f3.5-4.5 lens for EOS?
I don't remember this gray version? Yes, it literally is gray in color.
Thanks,

I've decided to bite the bullet and go with L glass, so I'm selling my
1.5-plus-year-old Sigma 70-200 2.8 APO EX HSM.
This lens is rated nearly as good as the Canon version (3,9 versus 4,1), at a
much cheaper price. My lens is optically and mechanically excellent, having
returned from Sigma servi
er to sign
up for CPS.
BTW, thanks for all your advice, both here and privately.

1.8 or 1.4 Canon lens for such things as
basketball (making use of the 1.6 magnification of the D30).
Sorry this is so long. I will appreciate any and all advice, hopefully keeping
me on the right track as a I try to build a stock of pro equipment.
Regards,

Here's the MSNBC story on the journalist killed at the WTC. His EOS D30 and
its images survived.

Thanks, all, for the D30 comments. I appreciate them. keep 'em coming.
I have been reading the manual and still can't figure out how to disable the
automatic flash pop-up (other than by snapping it back down). Any ideas?

I'm just trying to establish a price. The EOS 3 is mint, with all packaging,
manual and materials. Same for the 540EZ flash.
It now costs about $1,200 (plus tax) new at two local camera shops. Of
course, I paid more than than, but I will take somewhat less than the going
new rate.

I've decided to sell my like-new EOS 3 and 540 EZ flash to raise some cash
