I once had RC1 which I later sold together with my EOS 50E. I found it quite useful especially the MLU 2 second timer. But for instant release, unless you can hide it well, it will only ruin the shot. I mean we do not want to be photographed holding or even aiming the RC1. But OTOH, the sensor is

Dear list, I just had my negative processed with the photos printed 3R. I followed Bob Talbot's suggestion to find out myself which 90% area is covered by my EOS 30 viewfinder. Judging from the prints, Henry Posner was right when he mentioned that the hidden area was the outer band of all 4 sides

Either let your eos leave leader out (CFn 2=1) or use film picker. I do the latter, for trying to keep the film off the shutter blades as somebody on this list suggested the possibility long ago. -Original Message- From: Jason Lay [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 31 Januari 2001 9:01 To:

Hugo, I use ProMax bouncer. It provides the same effect as an umbrella without the hassle. You get portability with this bouncer. Yes, mostly I did not know exactly the lighting effect of my off-camera flash when I took shots. But the results almost always satisfied me. Luke -Original Me

I guess the only logical way to calculate the distance by using the light will be to measure the time it needs to travel from one point to another. Now the range of the subject distance from camera will be from 0.5 m to 54 m (in case of 540ez) which translates to 1 m to 108 m in terms of the dista

Hi, I wonder: If the A-TTL sensor reads from the surface of the film, how could it read the pre flash? Moreover, how come the pre flash is fired only when the flash is directed towards the subject to calculate the distance, when this information can be fed by the lens (sort of Nikon's D-TTL)? L

I set my EOS 30's (=7E) C.Fn.11 to 1 and C.Fn.12 to 1. And the camera works fine. Yes indeed, to enable direct selection I have to turn ECF off and do the focusing first using the AE-L button (C.Fn.4 set to 1). I found that the camera focusing function had to be activated, before I could select fo
