What they often do is to offer a 'budget' of so much to be spent in
Canon equipment. I think we're making too much fuss of it anyway...

In the June 2005 issue of the UK magazine Photography Monthly is the start
of their Photographer of the Year 2005 competition. This runs from now until
December 2005.
The overall prize described as a "Canon outfit worth £2,500!"

This development seems to represent a complete committment for Olympus but

Bob,
Sorry, I've spent too much time on the Nikon lists lately where they seem
to bash everything except Nikon. I often see C***N for Canon, as if it is
some sin to mention the name. So I thought I'd play around with it...hence

So it seems that Kodak are putting out another EOS 1 based SLR with a CMOS
sensor, probably the same as the new CANON. H, I wonder if Canon will
undercut the estimated $4000 msrp of the Kodak? At any rate, that is a
bargain for such resolution. At $4000, it will be hard for all but the m
I have just uploaded details of the EOS 1Ds to our web site at

Although news of the new camera became available before today's embargo

elsewhere. There is also information about the new EF 24-70mm f2
Well, the article says quote:
"The estimated retail price is less than $4,000. Just four years ago, Kodak was
selling professional digital cameras with less resolution for $30,000. "

This is another proof that Canon introduces new technology on "lower"-end
bodies before making it available on the "professional" bodies. I guess we
kind of can guess what comes next by looking what is introduced on new
"higher" but now "professional" bodies...

It shouldn't be any more "beastly" than an EOS-1v or 1n with the booster.
That's what many of us are accustomed to.
