Ken,
I've been a D60 user since soon after the introduction of the camera.
Overall, I am very pleased with it, and will only replace it with something
of the caliber of a 1Ds, which is NOT financially feaseable now.
I will say I went through a learning curve with my D60, but can now get VERY
good

Oh really. Well my 10d with it's built in flash does a hell of a job

Well, you're talking about one of the sharpest 35mm lenses ever there! Not
really an in joke, since many people recognize Kiron lenses as top
quality. Not only that, but much of the FD glass is as sharp if not
sharper than its EF equivalent, like the 50/1.8. It's a lot of why I keep

I don't think the low-light AF was as good as my Elan IIe, other than that
small issue which wasn't that bothersome it was a GREAT camera for me.

I recently sold my D60 on eBay. It's capable of taking great images. The
thing that drove me nuts was its poor integration with the E-TTL flash

I have a D60, but have no experience with the new Rebel. From all I have
heard, the Rebel is short on many features of the D60 / D10 cameras. I have
been quite happy with my D60, though low light focus performance leaves
something to be desired.
Here are reviews on the D60 and the Rebel.
